THIS IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR OUR LENTEN PROJECTS

WHAT IS AN AUCTION OF PROMISES?

An Auction of Promises is when donators promise to provide a gift or service to the highest bidder, e.g. dog walking or free grass cutting. Guests then bid on the person offering that service with funds being donated to the cause.

You can promise almost anything—here are just a few examples:

HOW WILL IT WORK?

  • We need you to offer a promise (or promises) using the form on the other side of the document which you can download here - or on the form on the right of this page, not later than Wednesday 4th March.

  • All promises will be displayed from Sunday 8th March - in handouts available in the church and on our website on this page.

  • Bidding can then be made using the new form which will be available on this page, or the form which will be available on the bidding handouts.

  • Final bidding will take place at the International Evening and Auction of Promises event on Friday 27th March. The highest bidder for each promise will then be contacted within 7 days.
